God saved us from fire..

I want to thank God yesterday morning for sparing my family and my home. My neighbors house burnt down..nothing was left and houses were completely destroyed..my husband and I  were deeply asleep  when the fire struck. Our housemaid saw the smoke so she yelled, and we woke up. I  opened the window and  there before my eyes is a tower of flame on my neighbors roof , just 2 houses away from my home! It was a terrifying scenario --We heard a loud bang and 15 minutes later there were sounds of sirens then I found myself praying so hard  for us to be saved. I was shaking. GOD, SAVE MY HOUSE! ...

The 2nd alarm fire was under control by 9 am after the firefighters fought the fire for about two hours.

When I was certain that the fire was fully stopped, I felt myself trembling and exhausted. I laid on my bed  imagining what could have happened. That peaceful morning could have turned into a really tragic one. I would never knew how tragic it could be but God did not allow it to happen.He saved my family and  house from being burned down. He really is a miracle -working God. =)

Christmas In Candyland : A gift - giving Event

My dream event styling became real and i was really happy to have  all my  sugary sweet creations put together..

Every holiday season, the SK leaders of Poblacion Makati shares their blessings with the poor, the needy and neglected children of the society with their Gift giving project. My brother and cousin, asked for my help to style and make their event a  spectacularly sweet day for the children! 

My sweet tooth was my vision. Candyland was my inspiration.

CANDYLAND appeals to children from a young age with its colorful and whimsical design and simple rules. The game images also work well as the basis for my  decorations. The Candy Land theme lends itself well to bold, colorful decorations that make the children feel like they stepped into the game.

Bright colors come to mind at the mention of candy. Colorful candies can inspire decorations in the same bright of Blue, Yellow, Green , Red, Pink, Purple and Orange and patterns of stripes, circles and swirls.

  

The entrance decoration is a gift-wrapped door.These are the doors that lead to all of the magic to Candyland...

You could see the delightful life-size board squares leading right over to the event!

 The centerpiece for each table is a montessori-inspired  cans with colored crayons .

 

Stage was my favorite part for i placed so much effort to build this....it was the sweetest gingerbread house covered with peppermint sticks, gumdrops, colorful icing, and goody treats!

Some of the additional decors and  crafts i made were gingerbread  man, Candy Land sign, Gum drops and Popsicle balloons. They were almost good enough to eat!

Sugary candies, colorful snowman crafts and my lollipop centerpiece adorned my candy buffet table 

What a Fun Day and a Sweet Treat for the kids!!

Late post : Holiday DIY crafts

While too busy doing holiday events , my Christmas craft insanity also began ... I've been quite busy (and hooked) doing country crafts lately and celebrating holidays.=) Busy bee, yes! So I apologize for this post holiday blog...better late than never.

Christmas is probably the number one time of the year for crafting knick-knacks and crafts. For the last holidays season, ive decided to make my own gifts out of materials that i already have. Thought about giving out lovely, personalized gifts for family and friends which are easy to make and will certainly not break the bank. Why spend if i can create? Brilliant!

The result...they all  loved it!!! and they loved the fact that ive placed my own time and effort into making the gifts really personal,.

Here are  some of my DIY hand painted crafts that I have been working on!Who wouldn't want to receive one of these cute boxes??? The box itself is a gift they will love!

The brown paper bag isnt just for the groceries...i made DIY Christmas Gift Wraps,too!!

  Just a simple sketch, a touch of  paint and creativity  you'll  produce something from the heart for someone dear to you. By adding that personal touch they will go a long way and  be cherished for ever.. =)
